Holiday Crafts!

 

The Fort Scott Recreation Commission and the Fort Scott Middle School Pride  are offering the following craft programs for pre-schoolers - 5th Grade.  These programs are designed for the youth to construct basic crafts using their hands.  Each workshop will be held at the Buck Run Community Center and have various craft projects, face painting, snacks and drinks.  Please pre-register at the Buck Run Community Center to allow for adequate supplies.  A $1.00 registration fee will be charged for each participant.

Crafty Tots

 

 

This class is for children ages 4 - 7 years with a creative imagination.  Students, working with their hands, will make many different projects using various materials.  This class will be held on Monday - Friday and run for 1 week from July 10th - July 14th.  Students will meet from 1:00 - 1:45 p.m. or 2:00 - 2:45 p.m.  Program will be held at Buck Run Community Center.  The maximum number of participants for each class is 15.  Fee is $10.00 per person. (Supplies are provided)

 

Creative Crafts

 

Youth ages 8 - 12 years will create a variety of projects working with their hands while using various materials.  This 1 week clinic will meet on Monday - Friday from July 17th - July 21st.  Students will meet 1:00 - 1:45p.m. or 2:00 - 2:45 p.m.  Program will be held at the Buck Run Community Center.  The maximum number of participants for each class is 15.  Fee is $10.00 per person. Cheerleading

 

Get up with the Tiger pride!!!  Cheer for your favorite teams with the newest cheers.  Your requirement for this great activity is ENERGY.  Participants  (ages 5 - 12 yrs.) will meet at BRCC on Mon./Wed. from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. June 5th - 28th.  Please pre-register and pay the fee of $10.

 

Dance

 

Students will learn basic dance routines that will develop coordination and rhythm.   High School cheerleaders or dancers will teach your child (ages 5 - 12 yrs.).  This class is scheduled on Mon./Wed. from 2:00 to 2:45 p.m.  Class will run from June 5th - 28th at BRCC.  There is a $10 fee due upon registration.

 

Basic Tumbling

 

This class will expose your child to basic tumbling and development of total coordination, balance, and body control. Children ages 5 through 12 may enroll in this class.  Class will meet on Tues./Thurs. from 1:00 - 1:45 p.m. from June 6th thru 29th.  Please pre-register.  There is a $10 fee.

 

Youth Fitness

 

Come on down and burn off some calories.  Students will be introduced to activities that include music, following directions and fitness!  Youth 5 - 12 years are allowed to sign up.  Class will be held on Tues./Thur. from 2:00 - 2:45 p.m.  June 5th through 29th. Kitchen Kids

 

Shakers and bakers going into first and second grades will learn basic experiences in the kitchen including cleanliness, safety, mixing, and baking.  This program runs June 5 - June 8 from 10:00-10:45 a.m. & 11:00-11:45 a.m. (if numbers warrant) in the middle school home economics room.  Each  class will have a maximum of 16 students. There is a $10 fee. (includes groceries.)

 

Cookin’ Critters

 

Third and fourth grade bakers will have the opportunity to show off their sifting, mixing, and fixing skills.  This class will run June 12 - June 15.  Safety and supervised use of kitchen appliances are stressed in this intermediate course which takes place from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. & 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. (if numbers warrant) in the middle school home economics room.  The maximum of 16 students will be allowed in each class.  Fee for this class is $10 (includes groceries)

 

Snack Pack

 

Hey, fifth and sixth graders!  Come out to the middle school home economics room and learn how to make all your favorite snack foods.  This food frenzy is scheduled from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. or 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. (if numbers warrant) from June 19 - June 22.  Maximum class size is 16. There is a $10 fee for this program. (includes groceries)
